Finally succeeded in growing store-bought re-grown spinach.. Unlike last time. It did really well in the kitchen, but died when planted out!
I love it how I can keep trying till I succeed and I don’t have to spend more money.
this time round I did things differently
1) I had a better planting system using the wicking bed, it doesn’t dry up like it did last time.
Day 1: Not the actual day 1 as been really busy but day 1 of being recorded.
They were not doing too well in that container anymore so I had to act fast.
Day 7: Spinach not looking that great but there may be hope.
Had to chop off some of the bottom roots as they were rotting away.
Day 10: Looks like some has made it ad is growing while others are looking rather sad and wilty.
The ones which I have chopped off significant part of the roots are not doing well at all

Day 12: Only a hand full is doing well and the others are dying away slowly

Day 14: Close up on the survivors, the edges seem to be wilting for some reason.
Day 23: 8 days later, the survivors are now thriving!^^
Day 24: the leaves are growing bigger
Day 25: the 1st batch of spinach plant in the front is going well.
Planted new spinach crops straight into the group skipping the water in jar stage. Will upload the post in the future re their progress:)
Day 34: 10 days later the spinach is still doing very well and has mushrooms growing along side it=p
Left it for so long cos thanks to my wicking bed, I don’t have to tend to my veggies as much 😀
Day 37: 4 days after and leaves are growing nice and BIG 😀
Day 38: more baby shoots growing and leaves growing:)
Day 42: 5 days later, still going strong and doing VERY WELL^^
So are the 2nd batch of spinach I planted straight into the ground 🙂
Day 45: Leaves are soo nice and big!! Sneak a nibble on 1 leaf and I have to say it is YUMMO! Soo excited 😀
Day 47: Ready for harvest I think.^^ Best thing about store-bought re-grown is that I can take the leaves as and when I need them and the rest keeps going 😀
