Olives after 8 days of neglect
Olives after 8 days of neglect

This is what my olives looked like after 8 days of neglect. There was some mould but it’s easy to just scoop them out.

Note: If you really don’t want any mould, then you can use more olive oil on the top to make a seal.

How to Prepare Olives For Preserving | Part 1 | Home Grown | Preserving Adventures

Guess what we were given today!!?

Mom and Dad gave us a bucket full of olives from their tree to preserve.

First thing I did was to sort them out into 3 categories

Greens, Mixed [Green and Black] and Black.

I had to painstakingly cut 4 slits in the olives. They were too beautiful to bash like my 1st batch.

I decided to do the green ones 1st as they need a longer time in the brine.

Click “Continue reading ” or scroll down to see the steps.

Enjoy,

Bay Leaf and Herb Christmas Gift | New Pot Needed Or Not? | What’s The Herbs? | Gardening

Palmyra,

Would love to pick your brains please.

Got a bay tree from mum for Christmas as I have made many attempts to propagate hers and had no success=p

Description says to put it in a hole 2 times the diameter for the current pot.

This is the pot I plant to use.

The pot I want to plant my bay Tree into. Internal Width: 380 mm Lengh: 375 mm Depth: 360 mm
The pot I want to plant my bay Tree into.
Internal
Width: 380 mm
Length: 375 mm
Depth: 360 mm

The interior diameter of the pot the bay is in is about 300 mm.. the pot I want to put it in is only 380 mm [Length] x 375 mm [Width]

So.. Would that suffice? Or do I need to hunt for another pot?

Also re the depth of the soil required.. currently it seems like the soil height/depth is 270 mm.

I am planning to give it 290 mm deep for the soil level. Would that suffice?

Thank you so much!
