Got to say this is one of the most exciting store-bought re-grown for me!
I have been trying to grow ginger for a long time and have failed countless number of times!!
So I am so proud and happy to share with you my progress growing store-bought re-grown ginger and hope I can encourage you to be “freaks” who grow their own.
Lol.. I seriously don’t care to be called a freak when I can go out to my garden and harvest veggies for dinner;)

Day 1: Starting 1 big knob of ginger
Day 1: 27/09/15
Day 1: Starting 1 big knob of ginger covered lightly with soil in a DIY re-use milk bottle
Day 25: 27/09/15

Day 20: Ginger knob slightly swollen
Day 23: Getting more swollen
Day 25: Not much difference
Day 26: Slightly bigger
Day 28: covered it with more soil
Day 30: Signs of new growth. The swollen bub is turning green.
Day 31: Another bud swelling
Day 32: Not much difference
Day 33: Not much difference
Day 34: The green tip slightly taller
Day 34: Green tip growing taller
Day 37: The green shoot growing taller
Day 38: Growing bigger
Day 39: 2 leaves showing

Day 40: Growing taller and bigger
Day 41: Still growing strong
Day 42: Growing taller and bigger
Day 44: 1 of the leaf bending over
Day 45: 1st bud growing bigger and taller and the 2nd bud has poked through.
Day 46: Growing slowly but surely
Day 47: 2nd bud is growing leaves
Day 48: 1st bud is growing strong and the 2nd bud has 2 leaves
There is a surprise 3rd bud.
Day 49: all 3 buds growing strong
Day 50: All 3 buds growing well and ready for transplant into their new wicking wheelbarrow.
Day 50: 3 shoots coming from 1 ginger..
The question is.. should i divide them up now?
