When To Harvest Broccoli Grown From Seed? | Home Grown | Wicking Bed 2B

1st time growing broccoli from seed! Success 😀 Have more seedlings on the go now 😀

So can you please advise me when is a good time to harvest? Is it ready now for dinner? seeing some florets flowering today!

Also tasted a little floret and it tasted bitter. is that usual? If not, what can I do to fix it?

Sadly it’s been attacked by worms 🙁

Thank you,
Grace-yi

Re-Grown Store bought Bok Choy | Home Grown | Wicking Bed 1

Finally been able to catalogue my journey with store-bought re-grown Bok Choy!! It survived! I have no idea this is the how many attempts.. All have started well but ended up dying when planted out!

So be encouraged, if you don’t succeed, try, try, try…. try again 😉

Enjoy,

Grace-yi

Planting Out September Seeds | Home Grown

Been VERY busy in the garden today.. Some seeds were given to me, others I collected from store-bought vegetables.

Soaked the seeds overnight and planted them into different containers dependent on if they required to be planted out directly [egg cartons] or start out indoors [plastic container] as our wicking beds are not ready yet..

Fingers crossed we will get 2 more beds up and running this long weekend!

Enjoy,

Grace-yi
