Re-Grown Store bought Chinese Vegetable [Gai La] | Home Grown

Thanks to the wonderful people at Jetto’s Patch, this vegetable is no longer a mystery! It is a Gai Lan also known as Chinese Broccoli or in Chinese Kai lan=p

In the future, I will endeavor to keep track of the process from the beginning.
I only started photographing the process when it started to root.
Interesting to note is that not all of them rooted, but all have new leaf growth.

Thought of separating the ones which are more progressive into a water pot. Also experimenting with the part of the plant which has flowers

The Chinese Vegetable with Roots in water is doing very well and seems to be growing well.

I made a lil wicking bed for my indoor Chinese Vegetable Plants. So that I don’t have to water them too often and they get fed.

Moved it under another plant as it was being attacked by moths.. Had loads of eggs on it!
