Burnt Red Forrest | Western Australia | Nature | Landscape | Photography | Jonace Aussie Travels

While on our way back from Albany, I had a “STOP THE CAR!” moment. Hubby would stop the car on the side of the road safely that is 😉 . In order to get this shot, we had to drive up and down the stretch of the road.

I love how symbolic this photo is. The red and black is from the fire that’s been through the area but there are new signs of new growth. This is something we can learn from nature. Adapt to the difficult situation and thrive. This forest shows lots of resilience!

After maturation, the Xanthorrhoeas aka “Black Boys”, grass trees can bloom anytime but seems to do so more prolifically after being singed in a grass fire or exposed to smoke.

Enjoy,

Sunset Geyser | Yellowstone National Park | Nature | Landscape | Sunset Photography | Jonace World Travels

While in Yellow Stone National Park, we met a few geyser chasers. We followed them around the park to chase the geyser eruptions. This is one which we waited for the longest. In the end, we waited for 3 hours unsure of when it is going to erupt. As it was getting darker, it was getting colder.

The Great Fountain Geyser is a fountain-type geyser located in the Firehole Lake area of Lower Geyser Basin of Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming.

Eruptions begin about one hour after the crater fills and the first overflow spills onto the terraces. Great Fountain’s maximum height ranges from about 75 feet to over 220 feet. While this pattern of behavior is observed most of the time, there are occasional episodes of so-called “wild-phase” activity during which the eruptions are of greatly extended duration and intervals between eruptions may be as long as three days.

It was one of the first discovered in the park, in the late 19th century

Oasis in the Desert | Huacachina | Nature | Landscape | Sunset Photography | Jonace World Travels

Instead of going to the super touristy place of Machu Picchu, we choose to go to Huacachina.

Huacachina is a desert oasis and tiny village just west of the city of Ica in southwestern Peru. At its center are the green waters of the Huacachina Lagoon, ringed by palm trees and thought to have therapeutic properties.

I was amazed at finding this very special place. The oasis is real, you see such mirages in cartoons.

Did you know the small lake is natural? the trees around the lake draws water from the air and store it in the ground which created the lake.

It was a rather painful climb cos of the Fibromyalgia but this photo makes it all so worth it.

All my photography can be bought as prints, just contact me to discuss your options.

Enjoy,
Grace-yi

Elephant Rock Panorama | Denmark | Western Australia | Nature | Photography | Seascape | Jonace Aussie Travels

As its name suggests, Elephant Rocks looks exactly like a herd of elephants, paddling in the shallow waters.

These huge cracked oval boulders make a stunning sight as they gaze out upon the Great Southern Ocean.

I took this photo on our day trip to Denmark. It’s amazing the things I saw on this day trip.
