Sunset From the Train | Emmeryville to Los Angeles | USA | Nature | Waterscape | Sunset Photography | Jonace World Travels

While on the Amtrak coast starlight train from Emeryville to Los Angeles I saw this sunset seascape. I decided to give it a go and took the photo from the moving train 😛

I love how the ocean still looks sharp and has lots of wavy texture compared to the foreground which is blurred.

Enjoy,
Grace-yi

Sunset Geyser | Yellowstone National Park | Nature | Landscape | Sunset Photography | Jonace World Travels

While in Yellow Stone National Park, we met a few geyser chasers. We followed them around the park to chase the geyser eruptions. This is one which we waited for the longest. In the end, we waited for 3 hours unsure of when it is going to erupt. As it was getting darker, it was getting colder.

The Great Fountain Geyser is a fountain-type geyser located in the Firehole Lake area of Lower Geyser Basin of Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming.

Eruptions begin about one hour after the crater fills and the first overflow spills onto the terraces. Great Fountain’s maximum height ranges from about 75 feet to over 220 feet. While this pattern of behavior is observed most of the time, there are occasional episodes of so-called “wild-phase” activity during which the eruptions are of greatly extended duration and intervals between eruptions may be as long as three days.

It was one of the first discovered in the park, in the late 19th century

Super Blue Blood Moon Eclipse Panorama | Nature | Photography | Astrophotography | Jonace Aussie Travels

Recently been seeing people uploading their composite shots of the moon and made it bigger. So I thought I’ll give it a go since the moon in this panorama was a tiny little fleck as seen in the photo below.

Here are 2 composites of the panorama and a photo of the half eclipse and then the full eclipse.

Do you like composite shots? If so, which one do you like best? or do you prefer the panorama with the tiny little moon just visible because it’s red?

Super Blue Blood Moon Eclipse | Nature | Photography | Astrophotography | Jonace Aussie Travels

As promised here is the photo I took of the eclipse, I liked the photo with a bit of moon not fully eclipse as it adds this beautiful blue hue and glow to the photo.

Also, the stars are visible 😀 Is it me or do you see the moon as Mr moon looking down on us with a face and the white part like a nightcap?

As usual, all my photos are available as a print.

Enjoy,

Super Blue Blood Moon Sunset | Nature | Sunset Photography | Astrophotography | Jonace Aussie Travels

Here is my photo of the Super Blue Blood Moon Sunset; NASA is calling it a lunar trifecta: the first super blue blood moon since 1982. That combination won’t happen again until 2037.

I was so blessed to be able to partake in this beautiful event with close friends.

Instead of just photographing the moon, Here is the Super Blue Blood Moon Sunset above Perth city with yachts sailing around at sunset! That is what I find exciting!

The moon and our beautiful colourful sunset and in this instance, the city of Perth in the backdrop! That to me is the tri-factor with the yachts on the water as a bonus element!

I intentionally kept the photo dark so that you can see the details on the moon better. Part of me is disappointed that the moon was not blue in colour since blue is my favourite colour!

As the moon rises, I was finding it harder to have the moon and the city in the same frame. We stayed till about 11:45 pm and got lots of photos of the lunar eclipse.

I also did a night panorama of the scene with the moon but the moon was tiny and was very bright so as to capture the surrounding nightscape.

I’ll post that tomorrow!

If you like this photo, contact me to purchase a print.

Enjoy,
Grace-yi
