I was wondering what photo I should upload as my 1st photo of the year and this scene jumped out at me. Cos every time I look up towards the stars I can’t help but think about the possibilities of things to be.

I took this photo after a long night at Dove lake capturing the milky way there. It was actually outside our accommodation. I saw a faint white wisp in the sky and wondered if it was the milky way and low and behold it was!! 😀

I used to do new years resolution, but now I have decided anytime is as good as any to start. Haha.. I started the GAPs diet in June and been on it for about 30 weeks now.. But I guess it does help to plan and dream of what is to be this year ^^

If you are a fellow believer, I highly recommending dedicating the year to God 😀

I did that 2 years ago when I was at my lowest of lows and been doing it every year since and it’s been an amazing journey through the ups and downs!

So what are your hopes and dreams for this year?

It’s a new year, and everyday is a new day. Instead of dwelling on past mistakes, learn from them 😉

Milky Way with airglow, Dove Lake, Cradle Mountain, Central Highlands, Tasmania

I was so excited to be at Cradle Mountains because I knew it was where I could do some astrophotography and perhaps catch the aurora lights.. Alas.. we didn’t get the aurora but we got this spectacular milky way and the green light called airglow.

I love how when you point your camera at a dark sky, it comes alive on your preview screen when you shoot in the right spot 😉 It’s a bit like treasure hunting for the milky way.

It’s so satisfying when you end up with such a beautiful panorama despite how long it takes and how cold it is 😀

I try as much as possible to capture the milky way where ever we are when there is low lights. Some nights it’s very cold! Also trying to shoot the milky way is tricky when it’s hard to know where the milky way is 😛 Sometimes it only shows up after you shoot at a random spot.

But with such lovely sights greeting you when you find it, it’s worth it 😀 Enjoy this stunning panorama of the milky way without the chill factor 😉

I am so excited to present to you another of my latest milky way shot I took on our 6th Anniversary 😀 We went away for a week to Lake Grace, Esperance and Ravensthorpe. We tried to chase the milky way as much as possible but the clouds were following me.. It was such a blessing that I got to photograph a this! It was my 1st time in Esperance and it was so beautiful!

I love how it looks like the milky way is coming out of the weather vane 😀

I am so excited to present to you my latest milky way shot I took on my 6th Anniversary 😀 We went away for a week to Lake Grace, Esperance and Ravensthorpe. We tried to chase the milky way as much as possible but the clouds were following me.. It was such a blessing that I got to photograph a this! It was my 1st time in Esperance and it was so beautiful!

I also think I unknowingly caught a meteor where the blue wispy bits are. There were also some shots with shooting stars which looked just like bright lines in the sky.
