Mysterious Creepy Crawly In The Night | Photography

Nearly walked into this spider and it’s web while in our garden last night!

Thanks to the people at Jetto’s Patch for helping me identifying this spider and giving me some info about it.

They reckon it’s a golden orb weaver. [If she’s a golden orb spider the threads of her web will glow gold in the light.]

It’s a friend as it catches flies and  mozzies and the damn cabbage moths. They reckon it’s a her as well=p She often take her web down in the morning and rebuild it in the evening. [That is dedication]

Spiders are generally classed into ‘guilds’ based on their mode of hunting. The more guilds you have present, the richer and bio diverse and ecologically healthy your garden is.

Re-Grown Store bought Chinese Vegetable [Gai La] | Home Grown

Thanks to the wonderful people at Jetto’s Patch, this vegetable is no longer a mystery! It is a Gai Lan also known as Chinese Broccoli or in Chinese Kai lan=p

In the future, I will endeavor to keep track of the process from the beginning.
I only started photographing the process when it started to root.
Interesting to note is that not all of them rooted, but all have new leaf growth.
